Our long-awaited Bare Roots Coffee Roasting expansion project is finished, and our Kava bar is open for guests to enjoy!
Kava, also known as Piper Methysticum, kava kava, and awa', is a native shrub to the South Pacific Islands. The roots and stems are crafted into a non-alcoholic, sober psychoactive beverage that has been consumed as a ceremonial experience for thousands of years.
There are many documented positive effects of the Kava plant that its drinkers can enjoy.
Anxiety- Duke University Center study has determined Kava to be beneficial for the treatment of anxiety, stating it doesn't produce dependency, negatively influence heart rate, blood pressure or sexual function.
